Important PaperCut & Windows Protected Print mode updates!
A key topic of our discussion was Microsoft’s Windows Protected Print mode (WPP), which tackles significant security challenges while enforcing crucial driverless printing enhancements! This update marks one of the most substantial changes to the Windows Print Stack in over two decades, impacting every Windows user with printers. If not tested properly before enabling WPP, users risk terminating every printer, print driver, and print queue in their production environment—including the Find-Me-Print Queue!
To better understand WPP and its implications for PaperCut users, we recommend reaching out to our team or utilizing a test environment with your technical support staff prior to enabling it.
