NEW ANNOUNCEMENT!
MPS Monitor introduces its new Data Collection Agent (DCA) with revolutionary IoT technology, PaperCut integration and Device Web Access

DCA 4 provides new and extremely powerful features and functionalities, which are designed to revolutionize the way dealers and MPS providers remotely manage their print fleet:
- Real-time connection: DCA 4 allows a direct, real-time communication between the user, the Agent and the devices.
- Device Web Access: Dealers, MPS Providers, and fleet managers can access and navigate the devices’ web pages from their browser, while being located anywhere on the Internet, without the need for a remote connection to the customer’s network.
- Multi-platform: DCA 4 uses a single code base for all main platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux, Raspberry), providing the same feature set and functions, regardless of the platform’s OS.
- Granular data collection: it is now possible to define, for each different type of data (meters, consumable levels, alerts, messages, etc.), how often each type has to be updated.
- Optimized network discovery: improved stability and efficiency, while greatly simplifying the troubleshooting process in critical network environments.
- Improved security: built with a strict “security-by-design” approach, further mitigating the risk to be used as an attack vector. Fully supports SNMP v3 and device authentication, to ensure maximum device security.
- Better supportability: in scenarios where problems with a device’s data have been identified, MPS Monitor’s support team already has available all the information needed to troubleshoot reading issues. No need to contact the customer and ask for remote sessions or manual data extraction for troubleshooting purposes, bringing added convenience, and speeding up problem resolution.
- PaperCut integration: customers can enjoy a full Business Intelligence experience on their PaperCut data from within the MPS Monitor cloud Portal, without any additional software installation nor any additional license costs.
NEW FEATURE!! MPS Monitor integrates PaperCut data to provide print management analytics and reporting from the cloud.

REQUIREMENTS | FEATURES AND FUNCTIONS |
Independence from manufacturer and model | Monitoring a network printing devices of any brand and model that respect the standard SNMP protocol as described in the specifications RFC 1759 (Printer MIB) and RFC 3805 (Printer MIB v2), both through the use of Public MIBs and Private MIBs of the various manufacturers. Possibility of installing the DCA Agent on various platforms: |
Scalable architecture | Cloud architecture scalable to any number of devices. |
Available languages | Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Catalan, Korean |
Profilability | Customizable user management with various levels of access to the features, and protection through users and passwords. Option to create custom user profiles with specific features. |
Reference Architecture | The Cloud - only the eXplorer agent for reading and printing devices must be installed within the company's commercial network, and must be configured to send data to the remote server infrastructure, which the customer can use with Cloud Computing (SaaS) mode. The eXplorer DCA can be installed in more than one system within the client, thus enabling the Cluster mode, which guarantees reliable data readings, even if one of the devices where it has been installed is turned off. |
Device discovery | Recognition and addition in the archive of all print devices with IP address and able to provide the information in accordance with the SNMP standard, as specified above. |
Creation of registries and inventory | Automatic addition of the devices to the database with advanced features to facilitate updating and importing the data needed for the management; reporting of changes in the installed device fleet to facilitate the subsequent updating operations. |
Inventory management and locations | Customizable locations management with the option to store the subnets used by each office so as to enable the automatic update of the database. |
Inventory logging | For each registered device, even if uninstalled or no longer in use, all logged information is retained. |
Interaction with other systems | The system can be interfaced with enterprise systems via standard interfaces (CSV/XML, email, REST API, etc.). All interfaces are documented and can be used freely by the customer. |
Usage data reports | There are dozens of custom reports for users, and many more can be created. The reports analyze all device fleet data, both current and historical: Device Fleet Composition, Inventory by Office, Print Volumes, Consumable Movements, Forecasts and Final Summaries, Cost Analysis on Pages and Consumables, Periodic Billing, Consumable Life Analysis, Costs/Page. |
Usage data logging | For each registered device, even if uninstalled or no longer in use, all logged information is retained for events related to consumption, usage, volume of pages produced, etc. |
Enterprise registry management | Sophisticated management of locations and cost centres, which can be structured and customized according to customer’s needs, with the resulting customized reporting. |
Consumables monitoring | Full and customizable management of the proactive consumables reordering process, with ample options for editing the control parameters, such as alarm levels, average usage, forecast depletion dates. |
Support for consumption summaries | Management of consumption forecasts, which can be structured and customized based on the type of contract with the supplier, with the resulting customized summary reporting accessible online at any time, updated in real-time. |
Support for cost allocation | Sophisticated management of locations and cost centres, which can be structured and customized according to customer’s needs, with the resulting customized reporting. |
Support for optimization | Ample options for comparing actual usage data and predefined defaults by model or type of device with advanced reporting and workload analysis. |
